Sarah was born in 1715 in Corotoman, Lancaster, VA.1 Sarah's mother was Elizabeth Landon. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Landon and Mary Saint Leger. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Charles, George, Landon, Ludlow, Ann, Lucy, Mary and Betty. She was the second youngest of the ten children. Sarah is no longer alive.-
