Richard de was born about 1117 in Middleton, Oxfordshire; Sutton, Warwickshire.1 Richard de's father was Richard de Camville and his mother was Mrs-Richard CAMVILLE. His paternal grandparents were Gerard de CAMVILLE and Mrs-Gerald CAMVILLE. He had three brothers and a sister, named Walter, William, Gerald de and Matilda. He was the oldest of the five children. He died in 1191 in Acre, Palestine.1 General Notes
