John Crichton 
John was born on October 20th, 1812 in Markinch,Fifeshire,Scotland and his baptism took place there on November 8th, 1812. John's father was John Crichton and his mother was Margaret Dewar. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Crichton and Helen Horn. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, David, Margaret, Helen and Mary. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 59 on February 6th, 1872.-
