Louisa B. was born in February 1870 in Johnsonville, Wayne, Illinois.1   Louisa B.'s father was James L. Young and her mother was Harriet. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Cornelius, Ransom, Samuel, Fereba, Mary Jane, Cornelia E., Sarah Jane, Susan and Dora.  She was the second youngest of the ten children.
