Martha Jane Wright

Martha Jane was born on September 26th, 1859 in Crawford County, Missouri.¹   Martha Jane's father was William Sherman Wright and her mother was Mary Ann Lorts.  Her paternal grandparents were Moses Henry Wright and Elizabeth Talley; her maternal grandparents were Jacob Lorts and Sarah Hannah Galloway. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Moses Henry, William Lee, Hannah A., Sarah Elizabeth and Mary Ann.  She was the third youngest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Olive Charlotte.
