Her paternal grandparents were William Woodford and Ann Maria Archer; her maternal grandparents were Jacoby Halleck and Lucy Or Lucinda Dill. She had two brothers and four sisters, named William B., Halleck R., Lucinda Halleck, Mary H., Clara and Elva. She was the third oldest of the seven children.-
