Happy Caroline Tate 
Happy Caroline was born on December 26th, 1828 in Tarpin Valley, Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Happy Caroline's father was David Tate and her mother was Nancy Caroline Kelly. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Tate and Sarah McMullen. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John Kelly, Caswell Carpenter, Worthy and Marena. She was the oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 68 on September 7th, 1897 in Tarpin Valley, Hawkins, Tennessee.1 -
