Annie Yancy was born on February 15th, 1889 in MO.1 Annie Yancy's father was Cornelius Stephens and her mother was Mary Jane McDOWELL. Her paternal grandfather was Stephens; her maternal grandfather was McDOWELL. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John Washington, Marvin Alexander, William Jefferson, Mary Mary, Margaret Minerva, Leslie, Neta Irene and Nettie.1
