Catherine Spurgeon 
Catherine was born about 1775 in North Carolina.1 Catherine's father was John Spurgeon and her mother was Elizabeth Treadlebaugh. Her paternal grandparents were William Spurgeon and Mary Jane Sellers. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John, Samuel, William M., Elizabeth, Agnes, Jane and Sarah.
