Joseph Simpson 
Joseph was born in 1834 in Washington Co., Missouri.1 Joseph's father was Joseph Simpson and his mother was Lovey Coats. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Samuel P., Elizabeth A., Catharine, Mary, Emily, Sarah, Nancy and Martha. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
