James Simms 
James was born in 1724 in Charles County, Maryland.1 James' father was Marmaduke Simms and his mother was Mary. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Semmes and Ann Sissons. He had two brothers and a sister, named Anthony, Marmaduke and Jane. He was the second youngest of the four children.-
