James Hiram Shipley 
James Hiram was born on May 6th, 1894 in ,,Tennessee.1 James Hiram's father was George W. Shipley and his mother was Mary Elizabeth McKenzie. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Roller Shipley and Mary Ann Fansler; his maternal grandparents were John M. McKenzie and Mary Ann McCorkle. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Ora Nathan, Samuel Roller, John E., Della Dixon, Cordie Ann, Etta Harrison, Lena Ethel, Goldie Mae and Mary Mable. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 in 1968.1 -
