Martha Jane was born on November 2nd, 1862 in ,Wayne, Illinois.1 Martha Jane's father was Andrew Jackson Shehorn and her mother was Amanda M. Marshall. Her paternal grandparents were George Daniel Shehorn and Emily Harrison James; her maternal grandfather was John Marshall. She had a sister named Amanda Melvina. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 55 in 1917.1 -
