Valerie L. was born on March 18th, 1853 in ,Grainger, Tennessee.1 Valerie L.'s father was Pleasant M. Senter and her mother was Adeline E. McCraw. Her paternal grandparents were Stephen Wilson Senter and Elizabeth Ore; her maternal grandparents were Gabriel McCraw and Susannah Latham. She had four sisters named Susan E., Harriet T., Columbia and Olivia J.. She was the youngest of the five children. She died at the age of 5 on July 25th, 1858.1 -
