John David Rogers 
John David was born in 1829 in Near, Rogersville, Hawkins, TN.1 John David's father was Robert Rogers and his mother was Catherine Starnes. His paternal grandparents were George Rogers and Matilda Brown. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Pleasant S., Absalom Looney, Rogers, Robert, Maria, Mary and Minerva. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 38 on December 25th, 1867 in Bedford, Lawrence, Indiana.1 -
