George Washington Riggins 
George Washington was born about 1825.1 George Washington's father was George Washington Riggins and his mother was Eleanor Pigg. His paternal grandparents were \\ Riggins and Sarah \\; his maternal grandparents were \\ Pigg and <Unknown>. He had four brothers and three sisters, named David A., William, John, Carrol C., Patsey, Elizabeth and Matilda. He was the oldest of the eight children.1 General Notes

I found this family listed in the 1850 Russell County Census which was
taken on July 29, 1850 Page 219 Line 9 as follows:
Riggins, George W. 24 M Farmer $300.00 Kentucky
Isabel A. 33 F
Mary S. 4 F
Pruda 1 F
Rexroat, Catherine 13 F (Not sure of the relation of these
Rexroat, Sarah 11 F Rexroats)
Rexroat, John 9 M
Rexroat, George A. 9 M
Rexroat, Stewart 7 M
(Note: I also found George, Jr. counted with his father on the 19th of
July 1850 Page 332 by a different enumerator. Visiting Dad then returned
home....?)
