Newton Richards

Newton was born in 1840 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ Newton's father was Aaron Richards and his mother was Phebe Hundley. His maternal grandparents were Jordan Hundley and Elizabeth. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Emanuel, Jasper, Joseph, John, Jordan, Joshua, Nancy and Priscilla. He was the second oldest of the nine children.
