John Rice

John was born in 1827 in ,Bourbon, Kentucky.¹ John's father was James W. Rice and his mother was Patsy C. Boyle. His paternal grandparents were John Rice and Mary. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Richard M., Charlton H., James, Harriet, Mary and Anna. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
