Remy was born about 1732 in ,,Virginia.¹ Remy's father was Jacob Remy and her mother was Sarah. Her paternal grandparents were Jacob Remy and Ann Sanford. She had a brother and three sisters, named Jacob, Frances, Lydia Ann and Barbara. She was the second oldest of the five children.
