Sarah Rankin 
Sarah was born in 1839 in ,Harrison, Kentucky.1 Sarah's father was Willis Rankin and her mother was Nancy Howard. Her maternal grandparents were Elijah Howard and Smith. She had a brother and four sisters, named Atberry, Margaret, Mary, Nancy and Elsey. She was the third oldest of the six children.-
