Robert Pruitt 
Robert was born on June 10th, 1758 in ,Halifax, Virginia.1 Robert's father was Michael Pruitt and his mother was Elizabeth Simkins. His maternal grandparents were John Simkins and Elizabeth French. He had six brothers and three sisters, named James, Elisha, Michael, Byrd, Joseph, Joshua, Rachel, Judith and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the ten children.-
