Nelson Portrum

Nelson was born in 1844 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Nelson's father was Samuel Portrum and his mother was Lucy Ann. He had four brothers and a sister, named Henry, George W., Samuel, Thomas W. and Lucinda C..  He was the youngest of the six children.
