Zilpha's father was Ambrose Pitman and her mother was Elizabeth. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Pitman and Elizabeth Lancaster. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Arthur, Elijah, Elisha, John, Lucy, Nancy Anne, Milley, Phebe and Selah. She died in 1803 in ,Halifax, North Carolina.1 -
