Rebecca's father was John Person and her mother was Priscilla Cockerham. Her paternal grandparents were John Person and Mary Partridge; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Cockerham and Elizabeth. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Henry, John, Thomas, William, Elizabeth, Hannah, Mary, Priscilla and Sarah.-
