Thomas was born on January 29th, 1775 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Thomas' father was John Pemberton and his mother was Elizabeth Stanton. He had six brothers and four sisters, named James, William, Thomas, Stanton, Ezekiel, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Sarah, Nancy D. and Dianna.
