William Nelson

William was born in 1813 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.¹   William's father was Reason Nelson and his mother was Jane Thomas.  His paternal grandfather was William Nelson; his maternal grandfather was John Thomas. He had a brother and a sister, named Jonathan T. and Mahalie.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 38 in 1851 in Overton, Tennessee.¹
