Hannah was born in 1855 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Hannah's father was Richard M. Morrisett and her mother was Rebecca Saunders. Her maternal grandparents were James Saunders and Jane. She had three brothers and five sisters, named John, James, Robert, Mary Jane, Sarah, Spartana, Barsha and Highla Ann. She was the second youngest of the nine children.-
