Lydia Monroe

Lydia was born in 1859 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ Lydia's father was Madison J. Monroe and her mother was Rebecca Davis. Her paternal grandparents were Asa Monroe and Sarah. She had three brothers and seven sisters, named James J., Robert H., William Harvey, Eliza Ellen, Sarah Caroline, Mary Emaline, Pheriby Jane, Martha Adeline, Mariah Tennessee and Rebecca Elizabeth. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
