Alice Mitchell 
Alice was born in 1836 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Alice's father was Stockley Donaldson Mitchell and her mother was Alice Gale Rogers. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mitchell and Elizabeth Saunders; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Rogers and Mary Amis. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Richard Pinckney, James Galbraith, Clinton A., Stokely Donaldson, Hugh W., Martha and Amelia. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.-
