James Newton Menasco 
James Newton was born on October 7th, 1797 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 James Newton's father was John Menasco and his mother was Isabella Dodson. His paternal grandparents were James Menasco and Margaret Or Peggy Dodson. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Joseph R., Joel, James, John, Jerry, Rhoda, Elizabeth, Ellen and Ann. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 71 on August 6th, 1869 in Shubuta, Clarke, Mississippi.1 -
