John McLain

John was born in 1803 in ,,North Carolina.¹   John's father was Thomas McLain and his mother was Elizabeth Doty. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Daniel, Joseph, George, Clark, Murrell, Jonathan, Nancy, Deborah and Elizabeth.  He was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  He died after 1880 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹
