William McKirgin

William was born in 1845 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ William's father was James Lyons McKirgin and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Reare. His paternal grandparents were Thomas McKirgin and Jane Lyons. He had two brothers and three sisters, named David, James W., Rachel, Mary A. and Rosa. He was the second oldest of the six children.
