Elizabeth Catherine was born in 1856 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.1 Elizabeth Catherine's father was William Mauk and her mother was Malinda Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Mauk and Margaret Latture; her maternal grandparents were Richard Miller and Catherine Mottern. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry Augustus, George Washington, Mary Emaline and Sarah. She died at the age of 40 in 1896.1 -
