William Marshal

William was born about 1146 in Pembroke, Wales.¹ William's father was John Marshal and his mother was Sibyl Devereaux. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert Marshal and De Venuz; his maternal grandparents were Walter Devereaux and Sibyl Chaworth. He was an only child. He died on May 14th, 1219 in Berkshire, England.¹
