Her paternal grandparents were Nelson Manis and Elizabeth; her maternal grandparents were Vance Gonce and Martha Or Patsy Davis. She had a sister named Nancy Jane. She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Gilbert and Lena.-
