Gilbert Manis

Gilbert was born in 1840 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹ Gilbert's father was John Manis and his mother was Celia. His paternal grandparents were Seth Manis and Martha Or Patsy Fields. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Pleasant, George, John, Nelson, Elizabeth, Nancy, Mary, Lucinda and Celia. He died about 1863 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹
