Amanda E. was born on May 9th, 1871 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.1 Amanda E.'s father was Malin A. Manis and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Hilton. Her paternal grandparents were Sterling Manis and Rachel Manis; her maternal grandparents were James Hilton and Mary Or Polly. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Jesse B., Martha Jane, Luna E. and Louverna. She was the oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 25 on July 9th, 1896.1 -
