Roger De was born about 1256 in of, Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1 Roger De's father was Roger De MORTIMER and his mother was Maud De BRAOSE. His paternal grandparents were Ralph De MORTIMER and Gwladys "Ddu" Verch LLEWELYN; his maternal grandparents were William De BRAOSE and Eve Marshall. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Ralph De, Edmund De, Geoffrey De, William De, Isabella De and Margaret. He was the third youngest of the seven children.
