Roger De was born in 1221 in ,Cwmaron Castle, Radnorshire, Wales.1 Roger De's father was Ralph De MORTIMER and his mother was Gwladys "Ddu" Verch LLEWELYN. His paternal grandparents were Roger De MORTIMER and Isabel De FERRIERES; his maternal grandparents were LLEWELYN Ap IORWERTH and Tangwystl Verch LLYWARCH. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Hugh De, John De, Peter De, Joan and ISOLDA De. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 61 on October 27th, 1282 in ,Kingsland, Herefordshire, England.1 General Notes
