Vachel Light

Vachel was born in 1763 in ,Halifax, VA.¹ Vachel's father was William Light and his mother was Patience. His paternal grandparents were John Light and Bridget. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, John, Joshua, Wright, Michael, William, George, Eleanor, Patience, Prudence and Susannah. He died at the age of 87 in 1850 in ,Sullivan, TN.¹
