Franklin O. was born on March 6th, 1856 in Near Ladonia, Fannin, Texas.1 Franklin O.'s father was William Light and his mother was Amanda Nix. His paternal grandparents were Wright Light and Elizabeth. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Wright, James Young, William Vache, Rufus H., Nancy E., Sarah Ann, Elmeta Jane, Eliza C. and Amanda Lovica. He was the second youngest of the ten children.-
