Alexander was born on June 1st, 1760 in ,,NC.1 Alexander's father was John Lane and his mother was Mary Shepard. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Lane and Patience McKinnie; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Shepard and Ann. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Abraham Shepard, John, Benjamin, Mary, Patience and Ann. He died at the age of 83 on September 10th, 1843 in ,Troup, Georgia.1 -
