UNKNOWN was born in ,Washington, Missouri.¹   UNKNOWN's father was William P. Jackson and his mother was Jinny Sally.  His paternal grandfather was John Pentecost Jackson. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Phillip, William T. Smith, John J., Andrew W., Francis Minet (Frank), George W., Mary "Polly", Martha "Patsy", Sarah "Sally", UNKNOWN and UNKNOWN. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Allen Jasper, Thomas N., Richard, Lafayette, Lucinda and Levitha "Visey".
