Mahala Jackson 
Mahala was born about 1874 in ,Washington, Missouri.1 Mahala's father was Thomas N. Jackson and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth Hulsey. Her paternal grandparents were William P. Jackson and Mahala Hamilton; her maternal grandparents were William Henry Hulsey and Elizabeth V. Horine. She had a brother and two sisters, named John, Catherine and Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the four children.
