George Chester Jackson

George Chester was born in 1874 in Washington Co., Missouri.¹ George Chester's father was Smith Jackson and his mother was Sarah Jane Mercer. His paternal grandparents were Phillip Jackson and UNKNOWN Baker; his maternal grandparents were Isaac Mercer and Susan O. Hill. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Walter J., Rush, Albert, Fanny, Bertha, Jessie and Lizzie. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Phillip, William, Austin Clark, John, Susan, Martha Ellen, Rachel, Sarah Catherine, Melissa and Mary.
