James Cornelious Hollis 
James Cornelious was born on December 2nd, 1882 in Arkansas.1 James Cornelious' father was S.C. Hollis and his mother was Full Blood Indian. His paternal grandparents were Unknown Hollis and <Unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 51 on April 16th, 1934 in Preskitt area, 9 miles sw of Decatur.1 General Notes

Worked for Cottonbelt Railroad until an accident crippled him. He was
crushed between the engine and the round house door.
According to Neal, he died of a heart attack after visiting a neighbor.
His request for burial was to be taken to the cemetary by a wagon and
team of white horses, which Neal arranged for.
According to Kathryn, his heart attack might of killed him but he also
drank heavily which caused other health problems.
According to Walter, as told to him by Neal, the family moved from Collin
County to Wise County after a 15-year-old girl became pregnant by James
Cornelius Hollis.
