Alexander Hicks

Alexander was born in 1833 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   Alexander's father was Riley Hicks and his mother was Elizabeth Smith.  His paternal grandparents were Stephen Hicks and Elizabeth Cox; his maternal grandfather was Alexander Smith. He had a brother and two sisters, named James, Elizabeth and Katherine.  He was the second oldest of the four children.
