James A. Heck

James A. was born in 1866 in ,Hawkins, Tennessee.¹   James A.'s father was Adam Stewart Heck and his mother was Mary Smith.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Heck and Barbara Kilmer. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Louis D., Charles, George A., Nancy Jane, Sarah A., Cordelia and Martha E..  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named John S., William H. and Dulcena.
