William Hays

William was born in 1847 in p Washington Co., Missouri.¹   William's father was William Hays and his mother was Eliza Farrow. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Daniel, Andrew, John, Jane, Catherine, Amanda A. and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.
