Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Haynes and Mrs. Clark; her maternal grandparents were Herbert Jones and Martha. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Herbert, Thomas III, Richard, Andrew, Draughton, William, Anthony, Elizabeth, Martha and Mary.-
